Coors Banquet | P.O.P CAMPAIGN

This was one of my proudest campaigns to date. We connected with our friends at the Arroyo Grande Hotshot Crew in Central California to shoot Coors Banquet’s ‘Protect Our Protectors’ campaign. We wanted to capture the hotshots in a way that felt earned- using a medium that carried the same discipline and honesty as the work they do. Seager & Coors Banquet donated 5% of profits to the WFF (Wildland Firefighter Foundation).

We photographed the crew using a large-format camera and the ambrotype process, creating a timeless, tactile aesthetic that reflects who they are in the field. We were on call for the production, waiting for Captain Ben Holmes to give us the go-ahead on a rare day off during fire season. Alongside the stills, we shot a behind-the-scenes piece following tintype photographer Lindsey Ross, offering an intimate look at the craftsmanship and imperfections that became the soul of the campaign.
